Orb Lamp
The Orb Lamp was inspired by mid century style wooden lamps. These lamps always had outrageous curves and pointy ends which Gus found to be quite bold.
Using a tripod as a base for stability with three gradual curves which are ethically pleasing, meet flush at the base of the centre mount. This series was manufactured both by hand and using a CNC milling machine.
The American Oak top was created by laminating four pieces of 150mm x 60mm lengths which were machined by hand on a lathe. The legs and centre mount were CNC milled out of recycled heart Rimu. A five watt LED was recessed within the Oak top.
